Implied probability is the chance of an outcome that a market price suggests. On Kalshi a contract pays $1 if it wins, so a price in cents reads almost directly as a percentage.

What it means
Implied probability is the chance of an outcome that a market price suggests. On Kalshi a contract pays $1 if it wins, so a price in cents reads almost directly as a percentage.
Example
A YES contract trading at 62¢ implies roughly a 62% chance that the event happens. If you think the real chance is higher, the price may look cheap to you; if lower, expensive.
Practical tip
Treat the price as the crowd's current estimate, not a fact. Prices move with news, and fees and the spread mean the true break-even is a little different from the headline price.
