Slippage : Slippage is the difference between the price you expected and the average price you actually got.
What it means
Slippage is the difference between the price you expected and the average price you actually got.
Example
You see YES at 30¢ and buy with a market order, but the book is thin and your average fill is 32¢. That 2¢ is slippage.
Practical tip
Reduce slippage with limit orders, smaller trade sizes and by trading in more liquid markets.
Prediction markets involve risk, and you can lose the money you trade. Nothing here is financial advice, and past results do not predict future outcomes.

You must be of legal age (18+, or higher where the law requires) and located in a country where Kalshi and prediction markets are permitted. Check your local law before taking part. We never help anyone bypass geographic restrictions or identity checks: using a VPN, false data or someone else's account breaks Kalshi's terms and can lead to a blocked account.
Rules for prediction markets differ by country and can change. Check whether they are permitted where you live before taking part.
Only trade what you can afford to lose. If trading stops feeling like a considered choice, take a break and seek support.
